Puzzle 6: Numberlink(s)

with 2 comments

Here are two unrelated numberlinks.

Notes: Saturday was my 17th birthday, so I was trying to make a 17×17 Masyu with a fun pattern, but I never had the time to work much on it because of parents forcing me to write college essays as well as Mark Halpin’s Labor Day Extravaganza. Tonight, I had some extra time, and I was like, “Hey, I’ll just make some numberlinks for fun!” After 30 minutes, I had one that was decent, but then I realized that it wasn’t unique and could only fix it by breaking the symmetry. Then I tried making another one, but I just couldn’t get the givens to be symmetrical after about an hour of working. So, I am publishing my two best attempts even though they aren’t that great (and unsymmetrical), if only because I don’t want to have put up nothing other labor day weekend. 😛

To conclude, what I learned tonight: Creating nice numberlinks is pretty frickin’ hard.

  2. Hi! I’m sorry your parents forced you to do my LD ‘ganza, but hope you enjoyed it nonetheless 🙂
